Here's a bit of a back-story as to why I founded DeltaPrep: Since 4th grade, I've used Khan Academy for various purposes. It's taught me Pre-Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, and everything in between, and I'm very grateful for it. Recently, I joined Schoolhouse, another venture of Sal Khan's that I thought was a great initiative. I was able to build a large profile on Schoolhouse and "got the hang of" tutoring in the process. So, one night, as I was asking myself the question, "What difference did I make so far?", I realized that, very shamefully, the answer was "nothing."

Fast forward to a few months later, when, looking for a contest math tutor, I found that almost no one offered to teach the subject, and those that did offer to teach were charging rates that were considered beyond unaffordable for the common man.

And that's where the idea for DeltaMath began.

But it all started on Khan Academy, and that's why, after building DeltaMath, I chose to redirect all donations that might be made towards Delta to Khan Academy, my key inspiration in starting Delta.
